What is a HP Solution Business Partner?
TypeHaus has been part of the HP Solution Business Partner program for the past 12 years. Under this program, all TypeHaus products have been thoroughly tested to work on the various HP LaserJet and MFP models.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
Yes. If the TypeHaus product does not perform properly and we are unable to offer an alternative, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund. All returns must reference a TypeHaus RMA number.
What is your return policy?
TypeHaus offers a 30 day return policy. After 30 days a 15% restocking fee may apply. All returns must reference a TypeHaus RMA number.
How will my order be shipped?
All orders are shipped FedEx Ground, unless otherwise specified. If provided, we can ship using your company's FedEx, UPS or DHL account number.
What will I pay for shipping?
Shipping options can be provided at the time of ordering based on the quantity and destination.
Our company is outside the United States; can I still place an order?
Yes. We often ship our products to other countries. Shipping, duties and taxes apply.
Will I have to pay sales tax when ordering?
Sales tax is charged on orders shipped to recipients in the State of California. Resellers must provide a California Tax Exempt Form.
How do I place an order online?
Many TypeHaus solutions are available in several variations in order to make them fully compatible with differences in printer models and computing environments. TypeHaus Account Executives will ensure that the proper solution for your printer model and computing environment is delivered to you. Please contact TypeHaus at 760.334.3555 and select option 1. Can our company provide a purchase order and obtain terms?

What credit cards are accepted by TypeHaus?
TypeHaus welcomes MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
How quickly is my order shipped?
Most standard orders are shipped within 48 hours. Custom orders are shipped within 8 to 10 working days.
How do I check the status of an order?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail at the time your order ships. If paid by credit card, a paid invoice will also be emailed.
Can I install your products on multiple printers?
Yes. Our printer hardware devices can be purchased for each printer requiring the additional print resources. For downloadable fonts, we offer enterprise licensing based on the number of printers. Please contact us directly to discuss.
What support options are available?
Support for TypeHaus products is always free. Basic product help, including installation and other documentation for most products, can be found on our website. If you cannot find an answer to your question please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 760.334.3555 and select option 2. We offer telephone support during the hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. If you send us an email, you will typically receive a response within a few hours or first thing next business morning if your e-mail is received overnight.
Technical Support Questions
Where do I install my HP LaserJet internal solution?
The installation guides for most TypeHaus products have been made available online. Please look for a "Downloads" link on the web page for your solution. These devices go inside the printer, in a connector located on the main electronics board of the printer. Smaller printers usually have a panel on the right side as you are facing the printer which you can push back to reveal the electronics. Larger printers often have a removable cage that holds the electronics. Consult the user guide for your printer to find the correct location for your model.
How do I confirm my HP LaserJet internal solution is installed correctly?
Print a configuration page from the control panel of the printer. You will see a header that says "Installed Personalities and Options". Under this header you will see an entry that reads "Flash Storage", "USB Storage" or something similar depending upon your printer model. This text will be followed by a number and text associated with the device.
What fonts are included in my solution?
Each of our font solutions provides a set of PCL fonts. You can see the full list of fonts included with the solution by printing a PCL Font List from your printer. On most printer models, this option is listed as "Print PCL Font List" under the "Information" menu.
How do I use the fonts in my solution?
In the PCL5 datastream being sent to the printer, specify the escape sequence for the font you wish to use. Follow the escape sequence with the text (or barcode data) you want to print using that font. You can get a list of all the fonts provided along with the associated escape sequence by printing a PCL Font List from the control panel of the printer.
Can I use these fonts from Microsoft Word or some other GUI application?
It is difficult in most GUI applications to send an escape sequence to the printer without it being altered by the printer driver. For these situations, TypeHaus has other alternatives to printer resident fonts that are more likely to fulfill your needs. Please contact us so we can review your specific requirements.
How can I confirm that my HP LaserJet internal solution is operating properly?
Most TypeHaus solutions ship with an install guide with instructions for testing the solution. Many of these install guides are also available online for downloading. Some solutions can be tested by simply using the commands available on the front panel of the printer. Other solutions will ship with a CD containing a test file and a utility that will send the test file to your printer. Compare the output to the proper output indicated on the install guide that was included with your shipment. If they match then the device is operating properly.
Why is my LaserJet internal solution printing unexpected characters instead of barcodes?
If the characters look like an escape sequence, then you may need to set an Escape Swap value on the control panel of the printer. An example of such sequence looks like: "~(s2p4,12s4,12b24670T0020550037". In this example, a tilde ("~") is printing instead of an escape character. Using the printer's control panel, select "Barcode Solution" and then "Esc. Swap(Dec.)". This will prompt for a decimal value of the character to use as an escape character. In this case tilde is being used, which is decimal 126. Enter the value 126, save, and now a barcode will print in the place of the escape sequence.
Why won't my Code 39 barcode scan?
Most often this is caused by a failure to include the start and stop characters in the escape sequence that calls the barcode. These are normally the "*" character. For example, to print a Code 39 barcode the following sequence could be used: "<esc>(0Y<esc>(s0p4.69h12.0v0sb0T*123456*". If the "*" characters are not included, the bars for 123456 will still print, but the scanner will not scan the barcode properly. The reason is because the barcode will be missing the stop and start characters.
Why are my barcode data values printing instead of barcodes?
This usually indicates the host application hasn’t yet been set up properly for printing barcodes. If you are using SAP make sure that you have chosen a device type that will output PCL5, and that you have inserted the proper print controls into the form calling the barcodes.
